This article aims to develop an Ecclesial Mental Health Model for suicide prevention grounded in the theological principle of “bearing one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2). The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, drawing on theological, pastoral, and contemporary mental health sources. The findings indicate that this principle possesses both normative and therapeutic dimensions, enabling a paradigm shift from an individual-centered pastoral approach toward a community-based model. The proposed model comprises six main components: a relational theological foundation, community structures as support networks, sustained pastoral functions, preventive mechanisms through education and early detection, spiritual practices, and the creation of stigma-free safe spaces. Overall, this model affirms that the church, as a relational community, holds a strategic role in fostering resilience, reducing social isolation, and strengthening holistic and integrative suicide prevention efforts.
2026-06-25T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 SAINT PAUL'S REVIEWhttps://jurnal.sttsaintpaul.ac.id/index.php/spr/article/view/127Manusia dalam Proyek Kekekalan: Sebuah Studi Teologis tentang Rencana Ilahi, Pembentukan Karakter, dan Arah Eskatologis2026-05-05T09:46:15+07:00Peiter Jeckson Tomasoapeitertomasoa85@gmail.comDaud Mannoanugerah.hidupkekal@gmail.com
This article explores the theological interconnection between divine providence, character formation, and eschatological orientation in the life of believers. Employing a systematic theological and thematic synthesis approach, the study asserts that Christian character is inseparable from God's eternal project. Character is not merely moral behavior, but a spiritual response to divine providence and preparation for eternal life. By placing Jesus Christ as the model and standard of perfect character, the study demonstrates that character formation is a transformational process shaped by Scripture, the Holy Spirit, suffering, and hope in the world to come. The study contributes to the development of spiritual theology, faith formation policy, and character-based ministry in society.
2026-06-26T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 SAINT PAUL'S REVIEW
